Electrolytes for high-voltage lithium batteries

چکیده
In the aim of achieving higher energy density in lithium (Li) ion batteries (LIBs), both industry and academia show great interest developing high-voltage LIBs (>4.3 V). However, increasing charge cutoff voltage commercial causes severe degradation positive electrode materials conventional LiPF6-oragnocarbonate electrolytes. Consequently, using LiPF6-organocarbonate electrolytes suffer from a short cycle life when operated at voltages. this review, aging mechanisms associated with are analyzed, countermeasures electrolyte design discussed.

Ionic Liquid Based Electrolytes for High-Temperature Lithium-Ion Batteries
Today, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are ubiquitous in mobile phones, laptops, and other portable devices. The research community strives to further improve the LIB to increase electric driving distance and efficiency of both hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and fully electric vehicles (EVs). Conventional LIBs need to be strictly temperature controlled, most often cooled, to ca. 30°C, to ensure a...
متن کاملNonflammable perfluoropolyether-based electrolytes for lithium batteries.
The flammability of conventional alkyl carbonate electrolytes hinders the integration of large-scale lithium-ion batteries in transportation and grid storage applications. In this study, we have prepared a unique nonflammable electrolyte composed of low molecular weight perfluoropolyethers and bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide lithium salt. These electrolytes exhibit thermal stability beyond 200...
